Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year

A Lutheran teacher from Pacotello, ID won a $1000 award from Wal-Mart.

"It was a complete surprise for a Pocatello teacher Monday afternoon when she was awarded the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year award in front of nearly 350 of her students during a special assembly.

Mrs. Lana Gribas teaches preschoolers through 8th graders art at Grace Lutheran School in Pocatello. During a completely surprise ceremony, Mrs. Gribas was awarded a check and plaque from Wal-Mart.
Mrs. Gribas and Grace Lutheran received a $1,000 check. Mrs. Gribas also won a gift card to Wal-Mart.  She will now be entered into the regional and national competition."

Top 10 Reasons to Attend CSL

My father, oldest brother and I all attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO.  The top ten reasons presented by the Seminary are a fine start to why one should choose to study in one of many programs offered.  I am grateful for the opportunity to study at Concordia Seminary in the Deaconess program.  This opportunity restored a faith weakened by various trials and tribulations.  I believe the Deaconess program is a fine addition to both Seminarys in St. Louis and Fort Wayne, IN.

St. Louis Seminary Announces New Campaign

How Will They Hear? is the new campaign being officially announced by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.  As of April, 2008, the campaign has raised $44.5 mil of its $77 mil goal.  This is a three-component effort with focus on "Pastors, Place, and Promise".
